K.I.M. is a multi-generational family office established in 1973 – over a half-century of time-tested experience navigating both bull & bear markets.
Started by a once-upon-a-time teenager of the 179th Combat Engineers building bridges, roads and infrastructure -- paving the way to victory for advancing Allied troops in WWII -- and his wife, a daughter of war-torn immigrants to the USA. Ever since then individuals, families, endowments and pensions have trusted the firm to look after them and their assets. Now located along the shores of the Great Lakes in Cleveland, K.I.M. operates away from the clamor of Wall St., Silicon Valley & DC. None of our “mentor-peers” live near financial hubbubs. Warren Buffet resides in Omaha, Nebraska. Billionaire Chuck Akre in a 1 traffic-light town of Middleburg, VA. Mohnish Pabrai deep in the heart of Texas. With telecom, IT & cloud computing our reach is global to include the greatest corporations on Earth – Apple, Nvidia, Amazon, Ferrari & more. Our own assets are deployed right alongside those of our clients whom we regard as partners & co-investors in long-term, often lifetime relationships. In this way we help each other & learn from one another as a collaborative. As such we’re aligned with our co-investors & don’t have to charge extra account fees for marketing spend, since we neither advertise nor do social media. Instead we rely on old school word-of-mouth & networking committed to living within an ethical community of deserved trust amongst relatives, friends & select referrals. Which frees us up to focus on our main aim: wealth creation & preservation.
This differs from the financial-machine complex that often has no skin-in-the-game / none of its own money at stake & see people as a product to charge a fee.
